Powered by Aloha. United by Ohana.

'Ohana means 'family' in Hawaiian.

Not just the one we're born into—but the community we build intentionally through the spirit of aloha (love), solidarity and sanctuary in shared life experiences.

Because sometimes, we must create our own.

OUR MISSION

To uplift women with empowerment-based self-defense in real-world situations—designed by and for survivors, always free to friends most impacted by violence.

Our youth program focuses on violence prevention, breaking generational cycles of harm.

At Ohana, all women and youth are welcome—whether you're healing, showing up as an ally, or simply want to feel safer.

Our classes teach situational awareness, de-escalation, and practical self-defense in a supportive space rooted in aloha and chosen family.

Life-saving skills should never be paywalled. Bodily autonomy and freedom from harm are human rights -- not just for those with privilege.

Our self-defense program for youth ages 14+ inspires teens with a vision of a peaceful future, and the skills to make it real.

Co-ed adult safety workshops are available upon request here.

We are your people. This is your future.

"The presentation was lively and engaging. The participants remarked that they enjoyed it and learned a lot. They want another training soon."
